CBSE ANNOUNCES SOME IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR CLASS 12 FROM YEAR 2019-20

Class 12 Syllabus has undergone some important changes. The Changes announced by CBSE are as under:

Changes in Exam Dates:

From 2019-20, class 10 and 12 exams are going to be held from mid of February this year, unlike other years where the exams usually begun from starting of march.

More Internal Choices:

The number of choices in the question paper has been raised by 33 %. More number of choices will be given to questions in the exams.

Changes in Class 12 English Paper:

Section-A (Reading) will have two passages instead of three. One passage will have 5 MCQs, 9 very-short-answer-type questions, and 3 short-answer-type questions. The second passage will have two long-answer-type questions.

Section-A (for 30 marks) will now have 19 questions instead of 24. The number of questions in the paper was reduced to 35 from 40.

Computer Applications: Python Language Introduced

CBSE is going to introduce Python Language for computer examinations in 2019. Students will have an option to answer any one of C++ or Python aling with compulsory section C of the question paper.

Changes in Class 12 Maths Paper:

CBSE introduces 20 marks internal assessment for class 12^th Mathematics – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is continuously into encouragement of creative and critical thinking among students. For the same, CBSE has revised it’s assessment and evaluation practices. CBSE will now change its current Pattern and incorporate practical component of at least 20 marks in subjects like mathematics from the academic year ahead. The maths subjective paper would then be of 80 marks instead of 100 marks.

Changes in Class 12 Science Papers:

In Chemistry, first lesson "The Solid State" is removed and moved to as a part of class 11th syllabus. Also, in P-Block elements, group 15 is removed and is moved to as a part of class 11th syllabus.

In Physics, Optics is deleted from class 12th syllabus. Rest everything is same.

In Biology, no change is issued by CBSE for Biology.
